Dear BSA Member,
As you may have heard, the Law Society, with the help of White Collar Boxing, are organising a major fundraising event, which is a boxing night at the Europa Hotel on Friday the 5th of May 2017.
The fundraising effort is twofold. Firstly, in memory of Judge Corinne Philpott QC, who sadly passed away on the 17th of June 2016, the Law Society would like to set up a memorial prize fund in her name at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. Secondly, once funds have been secured for this, all proceeds will go to Marie Curie.
Unfortunately for the other brave souls taking part, the BSA’s very own Honorary Secretary Steven “Time to Pay” Keown will also take to the ring on fight night, and he would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring him for this event and the worthy causes.
The intensive training programme is already well under way, and the boxers are being trained by former Olympic boxer Cathal O’Grady and European Silver Medalist Cathal McMonagle.
Please see the link for the Just Giving fundraising page below (you will need to click on the Arleen Elliott link).
If you are good enough to sponsor please put Steven’s name at the start of your sponsorship as it is important that pledges are allocated to the correct boxer.

Only the Institute of Professional Legal Studies is currently linked to the page, but it will be switched to Marie Curie when the first target is reached.
