From Monday next, 28 Day Charge Sheet papers will be sent to nominated solicitors by CJSM. As a short term measure they will be posted if the solicitor does not have a CJSM account.
It is simple enough to register for an account with CJSM, and although there are capacity and other issues with that forum, it is secure. In all likelihood other similar secure communication systems will be looked at in the future.
This move is only applicable to 28 day charge sheet cases in Court 10. Any member setting up a new CJSM account to receive the decision documents from PPS, must send their CJSM details to the PPS as per the attached notice .
The Pilot is scheduled to conclude at the end of March ‘18. It may be extended if funding is found.
