BLOOD DONATION SESSION
Blood donations will be taking place all day in the Inn of Court on Monday 17th September. In Northern Ireland three people are transfused every hour and 850 units of blood are used each week. This blood is used in numerous ways, such as going to a child with leukaemia, a mother during childbirth, a person undergoing surgery, a person with cancer, or someone involved in an accident.
The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service relies on regular donors to ensure there are adequate blood supplies but also needs over 150 new donors to come forward every week. We urge you to be one of those donors…

ACTION CANCER HEALTH CHECKS
The Action Cancer Big Bus will be in the Bar Library carpark on Tuesday 18th September offering M.O.T health checks (£20pp) available to all and breast screenings for women aged between 40-49 & 70+ (£30pp).
Members can book either by using the online booking service at www.actioncancer.org/appointments or by calling Action Cancer on 02890 803344 and selecting Option 1. Members should quote reference JKO-2456. Please confirm your appointment afterwards by emailing events@barlibrary.com.
